I don’t believe that heaven is far away at all. I have visions of all these points in time layered on top of each other, happening simultaneously on this same piece of ground. So that you know, when you are out fencing, one of your ancestors could be fencing just down the line from you. That’s how I see the world. So that was the initial seed of the idea for a ghost story.

I have had to amend that a little bit, getting this far into the project, I now believe that when people die they move into your house.

Literally or your physical body “house”.

And what I mean by that is my own understanding of a very common idea, I think in the Lion King they say “He lives in you.” So it’s an old idea but This Is Dismal is how I am encountering that concept.

So where I am at with it at this point in the creative process is; when people pass away, they don’t get farther away, they get closer.
