To be very clear, I do not go in for scary things at all. It always amazes me when people can tolerate such experiences or seek them out. So in that we have the character Phoebe. She has a very high tolerance and even wants to be clairvoyant.
Also she is the ultimate friend for Emmy and vice versa.
They are both very millennial women. Phoebe is always in motion and Emmy makes these drastic decisions from a place that is more outwardly quiet. Phoebe is much more street smart. Emmy is more emotionally attuned.
Phoebe is crazy on the outside but very practical at the core. Emmy is crazy on the outside and totally nuts at the core. So they need each other. I think in fiction you have license to make up the most fun combinations.
